I tried to keep a hold of, of his uh, emotional complexity and his heart break. But, the Loki from Thor was somebody who was - in the moment, understanding who he was, discovering the truths of his, of the narrative of his life. 

That he was left out in the cold,

that he was adopted,

that he was lied to,

and he was sort’ve the bastard child of a monster.

And he was discovering all those things at the same time the audience were

But all of that self awareness has hardened, you know, and his heart has rebuilt itself, but it’s scarred, you know, and he’s damaged, and um, he’s therefore, more powerful because he knows his abilities and he’s just a lot more dangerous, a lot more menacing, a lot more arrogant, and uh, he’s a harder nut to crack, ‘cause he’s sort’ve made the decision to yield to the darker aspects of his nature I think.
